The Blood of Dawnwalker is the first game from Rebel Wolves, a studio started by Konrad Tomaszkiewicz and Tomasz Tinc in 2022.

Despite recent news about NetEase reducing its game investments, Tinc has reassured everyone that their vampire RPG is progressing well. In a LinkedIn post, he mentioned that the game’s development is moving forward without financial problems. He also clarified that while NetEase holds a small share in Rebel Wolves, most of the studio is owned by Tomaszkiewicz and other co-founders who work there. Their main partner for bringing the game to players worldwide is Bandai Namco.

This update is comforting, especially with many game projects facing cancellations or delays recently. The Blood of Dawnwalker promises to offer players a lot of freedom and introduces unique time-based gameplay elements. Given the team’s previous success with games like The Witcher 3, there’s hope that this new title will become one of the standout RPGs in the coming years.

In the game, players will explore a dark, medieval world inspired by Eastern European myths. The story centers on Coen, a young man turned into a half-vampire, who must navigate challenges to save his family within a set timeframe. This setup encourages players to make meaningful choices, as every action can influence the story’s direction.

The development team, composed of former CD Projekt Red members, aims to push the RPG genre forward. They are focusing on creating a rich narrative experience where players’ decisions have significant consequences. This approach is reminiscent of their work on The Witcher series but aims to offer a fresh perspective on storytelling in games.

While there’s no official release date yet, anticipation is building for The Blood of Dawnwalker. With its experienced team and ambitious design, it stands out as a promising addition to the RPG landscape.
