Samsung has officially unveiled the beta program for One UI 8.5, promising a significant boost in productivity and privacy. The update focuses on simplifying daily tasks while ensuring smoother performance across the entire Galaxy ecosystem.

For content creators, the enhanced Photo Assist feature offers a more fluid editing process. It allows for continuous edits without manual saving, as all versions are automatically stored in an accessible history log.

Sharing content is now smarter thanks to updates in Quick Share. The tool can recognize faces in your images and automatically suggest sharing them with the appropriate contacts in your phonebook.

New connectivity features include Audio Broadcast, which lets you stream sound to nearby LE Audio and Auracast devices. It also enables you to transmit your voice via the phone’s microphone, making it perfect for guiding groups or making announcements.

The ecosystem integration is tighter than ever with the introduction of Storage Share. This function permits users to browse files located on other connected Galaxy devices, including TVs and PCs, directly from the My Files interface.

Samsung has also strengthened device security with several new protocols. Theft Protection secures your data in case of loss, while the Failed Authentication Lock freezes the screen after too many incorrect unlock attempts.

This beta software is initially available for the Galaxy S25 series in select regions like Germany, the US, and Korea. Users eager to test the software can apply for access directly through the Samsung Members application.
