Porsche 911 Carrera S Unveiled with More Power and a Turbo-Inspired Facelift
The Porsche 911 Carrera S has undergone a notable update, boasting enhanced performance and a fresh, aggressive design inspired by the high-end Turbo model. With its power increased to 473bhp, this latest model promises to turn heads both for its speed and style.
Positioned between the Carrera T and the forthcoming 911 GTS T-Hybrid, the revamped Carrera S now mirrors the performance once exclusive to the previous GTS model.
Thanks to the turbocharged 3.0-litre flat-six engine, which has been boosted from 444bhp, the Carrera S can now rocket from 0-62mph in just 3.3 seconds, peaking at a speed of 191mph.
This improvement in acceleration is supported by new turbochargers and a redesigned cooling system that enhances overall engine efficiency.
The car isn’t just about speed. It comes packed with upscale features as standard, setting a new benchmark for the Carrera lineup.
Drivers can look forward to 20/21 inch bespoke alloy wheels, a sports exhaust system with stylish silver tips, and Porsche’s Torque Vectoring Plus system, which isn’t offered on the standard Carrera.
Additionally, the braking system has been upgraded to one from the new GTS hybrid, featuring larger front and rear discs, and provides exceptionally quick deceleration.
Optional enhancements include ceramic discs and a sports suspension package, which lowers the car by 10mm and adds rear steering for better handling.
Aesthetically, the Carrera S sports the broader rear arches and larger intakes characteristic of the 911 Turbo, enhancing its sporty look.
Inside, while the cabin remains largely unchanged, there’s a new option for those keen to customize further, allowing additional leather upholstery on the glovebox, side panels, and seat base.
Starting at £119,800 for the coupe and £129,800 for the cabriolet version, the new 911 Carrera S blends top-tier performance with luxury and style, making it a standout option in Porsche’s lineup.
