Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Con Reportedly Leaks Online in New Images

Recently, new images surfaced online claiming to show the Joy-Con controllers for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. The images, shared by Reddit user SwordfishAgile3472, reveal the inner and back sides of the Joy-Con.

The design looks mostly black with a hint of blue on the inside, which would be hidden once attached to the console. While it’s hard to confirm whether these images are real, the design seems to match earlier reports about the new Joy-Con.

The controls feature larger SL and SR buttons as well as a new trigger next to the ZR button. Another detail of interest is a serial number on the controllers, which could cause some issues for the leaker.

If this is the real deal, it looks like Nintendo might be going for a more subtle and mature look with these Joy-Cons. Unlike the colorful red and blue controllers of the original Switch, these appear darker, with only a small blue touch on the inner side. Here are the images (source):

We still don’t know when Nintendo will officially announce the next-gen Switch, but it’s said to be happening before the end of its fiscal year, which is March 31, 2025. Some reports suggest the reveal could come this month.
