‘Marvel Snap’ Is Coming Back and With Some Pleasant Surprises from the Devs
Marvel Snap is slowly bouncing back after its unexpected removal tied to the TikTok ban. Although the game was quickly restored for existing players, it’s still unavailable for download in the US. Second Dinner, the team behind the game, has been working to fix this and shared updates about what’s next.
The developers say they’ve already started the process of bringing Marvel Snap back to Google Play, and iOS users in the US should see it return sometime next week. Second Dinner also announced a special welcome-back package to thank players for their patience during this frustrating downtime.
The situation stems from the game’s original publisher being owned by ByteDance, which linked Marvel Snap to the TikTok ban. To avoid future issues, Second Dinner confirmed they’re looking for a new publishing partner.
For players, the news isn’t all bad. The team detailed a reward package that’ll go to all players, not just those in the US. However, US-based players will get a bit more, reflecting the longer wait they’ve endured. The packages include in-game items like credits, tokens, and premium cards.
Second Dinner says players can expect these rewards in their inboxes sometime next week, adding, ‘We can’t thank you enough for sticking with us through all of this. Your support means the world to us.’
US players with higher collection levels can look forward to things like spotlight keys, premium mystery variants, gold tickets, and cosmic borders, while players under level 500 will receive mystery cards, gold, and other special items. Those outside the US will still get plenty of valuable rewards, just with fewer extras.
The company is clearly trying to rebuild trust with its players, showing they’re committed to making things right after the chaos.
