Leak Reveals Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Elite Performance and Configuration Details Ahead of Official Unveiling
The mobile tech community is buzzing as new details emerge about the Snapdragon 8s Elite, the anticipated successor to last year’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3.
Scheduled for a March or April unveiling, this chipset promises to shake up the smartphone market with its robust capabilities.
According to insights from the well-known leaker Digital Chat Station, the Snapdragon 8s Elite is expected to deliver impressive performance levels, though it won’t quite reach the heights of the Snapdragon 8 Elite.
Benchmarks suggest an AnTuTu score around the 2 million mark, positioning it above many Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 models but still trailing the top-tier Snapdragon 8 Elite by about 20%.
In terms of technical specifics, the Snapdragon 8s Elite appears to focus on CPU advancements, potentially surpassing the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. However, its GPU performance might not exceed that of the last generation’s flagship.
Notably, the chipset is rumored to incorporate a Cortex-X4 prime core and A720 cores, avoiding the new Oryon cores found in its more powerful sibling.
The adoption of the Snapdragon 8s Elite is expected to be widespread. Major smartphone manufacturers such as Xiaomi, Honor, iQOO, and OPPO are already on board, with launches anticipated in April.
This strategic release positions Qualcomm to continue its dominance in the sub-premium smartphone segment, offering users high-end performance at a more accessible price point.
