Leak Reveals Galaxy S25 Series May Lack Full Qi 2 Support Despite New Case and Color Buzz
Next month’s highly anticipated launch of the Samsung Galaxy S25 series is stirring excitement as fresh leaks surface, thanks to insights from a Finnish carrier, SuomiMobilii.
They’ve revealed a variety of storage choices and protective cases, sparking discussions about the devices’ capabilities and accessories.
The Galaxy S25 will be available in two storage sizes, 128GB and 256GB, while the S25 Plus ups the ante with 256GB and 512GB options. For those who need even more space, the S25 Ultra will not disappoint, offering 256GB, 512GB, and a whopping 1TB.
In an interesting twist, it appears Samsung is opting for a magnetic approach to charging, but not as you might expect.
Although rumors hinted at full Qi 2 standard support, it seems the phones might not include built-in magnets for this feature.
Instead, Samsung plans to offer a ‘Magnet Case‘ for all three models, which will allow for magnetic charging and the use of MagSafe-compatible accessories.
This strategy isn’t entirely new in the Android realm; OPPO and OnePlus have also released phones with optional magnetic cases recently.
Furthermore, Samsung isn’t holding back on customization, providing a variety of cases for each model, including a Standing Grip Case, a Silicone Case, a Rugged Case, a Kindsuit Case, and a Clear Case.
The phones themselves will also dazzle in several new hues. The Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus will be decked out in Ice Blue, Mint, Navy, and Silver Shadow, while the Ultra model will shine in Titanium Black, Titanium Gray, Titanium Silver Blue, and Titanium White Silver.
