Kia’s Most Affordable EV Will Be Revealed in Just a Couple of Weeks

Hyundai’s Kia brand is pushing forward with its electric vehicle (EV) plans while others are slowing down. The company is getting ready for an exciting event at the end of February, where we’ll see three new all-electric models. These include the Kia EV2 Concept, the EV4 sedan, and the PV5 van.
The EV2 Concept is expected to draw the most attention. It will be Kia’s smallest and most affordable EV yet, aimed at European city drivers. It’ll compete with cars like the Citroën C3 and Fiat Grande Panda.
Unlike some of its competitors, the EV2 is believed to be based on Hyundai’s E-GMP platform, which powers models like the Ioniq 5 and EV6. Production is expected to start in late 2025, with plans to produce 100,000 units annually by 2026. However, it likely won’t be available in the U.S.
The EV4 sedan will make its way to the U.S. market, joining the EV3 sedan. It was first revealed in late 2023, and the production version should closely resemble the concept. It will likely offer both front- and all-wheel drive options and feature two battery packs – a 58.3 kWh and an 81.4 kWh. A hatchback version is also expected to be part of the lineup.
Finally, the PV5 van marks Kia’s entrance into the electric commercial delivery vehicle space. Along with this van, Kia will showcase its PBV platform, which is designed for flexible electric vehicle bodies for different uses.
These new models show that Kia is moving beyond the high-end, expensive EVs and focusing on more affordable, mainstream options. They are bringing more variety to the global EV market.
