Hisense has introduced its latest Laser TV, the L9Q, ahead of CES 2025. This new addition to the L9 series pushes boundaries with its ability to project images up to 150 inches, an increase from the previous model’s 120-inch limit. It also comes with a high-quality sound system and innovative features designed for a top-tier viewing experience.

The L9Q is more than just a typical ultra-short-throw projector. It includes Google TV for streaming and an ATSC 3.0 tuner for live broadcasts, making it a self-sufficient entertainment system. Unlike many projectors that require additional devices for content, this one is ready to go out of the box. Additionally, the package includes an Ambient Light Rejection (ALR) screen, offered in five sizes: 100, 110, 120, 136, and 150 inches. These screens enhance brightness by reflecting only the projector’s light, delivering a sharp image even in well-lit rooms.

This model uses Hisense’s TriChroma triple-laser light engine, offering stunning visuals with a brightness of up to 5,000 lumens and coverage of 110% of the BT.2020 color space. This level of brightness rivals high-end OLED TVs and ensures vibrant images, even in rooms with ambient light. The redesigned optical light engine also improves usability, allowing for a closer placement to the wall and offering motorized focus for clearer pictures on different screen sizes. Automatic screen alignment simplifies setup, though manual adjustments are recommended for gaming to avoid input lag or image artifacts.

The L9Q doesn’t just shine visually—it also boasts a built-in 6.2.2 channel Harman Kardon sound system with 116 watts of power. While Hisense claims the sound rivals professional theaters, it’s more comparable to a high-quality soundbar. Still, it’s a step up from previous models, offering immersive audio with support for Dolby Atmos and DTS VirtualX.

Design-wise, the L9Q combines functionality with style. It sports a sleek, angular body with premium finishes, including a Black Walnut Decore Panel and brushed metal details. The projector has a modern look that fits seamlessly into contemporary living spaces.

On the tech side, the L9Q comes with HDMI 2.1, Wi-Fi 6E, and compatibility with Google Assistant, Alexa, and Apple HomeKit, ensuring it’s ready for future technologies. It also offers access to Google TV’s vast app library and over 800 FreePlay channels, covering everything from Netflix to Hulu.

Although Hisense hasn’t revealed pricing or release dates, the L9Q is set to be a highlight at CES 2025. With its cutting-edge features, luxury design, and advanced display capabilities, it promises to be a strong contender in the Laser TV market.
