Fresh Rumors Emerge Concerning Apple’s Upcoming Foldable Smartphone
New reports indicate that Apple is inching closer to debuting its first foldable device, with a potential release window set for 2026. Information shared by the well-known tipster Digital Chat Station suggests the tech giant is planning a major shift in its design philosophy for this specific model.
Contrary to the popular clamshell style seen in some competitors, this device is expected to adopt a book-style folding mechanism. The internal primary screen will reportedly measure 7.58 inches, offering a tablet-like experience when opened.
For the cover display, Apple is rumored to be using a 5.25-inch screen that features a punch-hole cutout for the front-facing camera. Interestingly, the larger inner display is said to utilize under-display camera technology to maintain a seamless look.
One of the most surprising details from the leak involves the biometric security features. The report claims the device will skip the familiar Face ID system entirely and will not use an under-display fingerprint reader.
