A new trailer has just dropped for Blight Night: The Nightmare Deepens, the creepy survival-horror game that looks like it came straight from a haunted VHS tape. Created by solo developer Nick Duttweiler, this game will be fully released on April 29, 2025, on Steam.

Blight Night is set in a spooky, ruined town called Golden Springs. You play as Sonny Barstow, a lone survivor trying to stay alive in a world filled with monsters, mystery, and darkness.

The game takes heavy inspiration from 1980s horror movies and old-school video games. It’s full of VHS-style visuals, eerie synth music, and a heavy sense of dread.

The new trailer shows off frightening bosses, bigger areas to explore, and even more strange secrets waiting to be uncovered. Players will have to solve puzzles, collect supplies, and decide when to fight or when to run.

Staying in the light is very important. If you’re in the dark too long, it might be game over. Ammo is hard to find, and enemies are strong, so every choice matters.

Blight Night is a third-person horror adventure with a style that feels like something found in your uncle’s attic – dark, grainy, and totally terrifying. The game has been in development for eight years and is packed with passion and nostalgia.

A free demo is available now on Steam, so players can try it before the full release. If you love scary games with a retro vibe, Blight Night is one to watch.
