'Assassin's Creed Mirage' Is Reportedly Getting a DLC

When Ubisoft first introduced Assassin’s Creed Mirage, it was supposed to be just an expansion for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Later, they changed direction and made it a standalone game, bringing back the series’ original focus on stealth and assassinations.

But compared to the massive worlds of Origins and Odyssey, Mirage was a much smaller experience. Despite Ubisoft repeatedly saying it would not get DLC, that might not be the case anymore.

A report from French media outlet, spotted by well-known Assassin’s Creed leaker j0nathan, claims Ubisoft has struck a deal to develop new story content for Mirage.

According to the report, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot met with executives from Savvy Games Group, a company backed by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF). They agreed to fund most of the DLC’s development.

Details are scarce, but as with most Assassin’s Creed expansions, it could introduce new locations and characters. Ubisoft hasn’t officially confirmed or denied this information yet, but j0nathan has a solid track record when it comes to leaks about the franchise.

The report says this deal happened in December when Guillemot joined French President Emmanuel Macron on a state visit to Riyadh. During the trip, Guillemot met with Savvy Games Group representatives, and those discussions reportedly led to the agreement.

It’s not surprising that Ubisoft is reconsidering its stance on Mirage DLC. The company has been making major cost-cutting moves, shutting down several studios, including San Francisco, Osaka, and Leamington.

Ubisoft is also relying heavily on Assassin’s Creed Shadows, which was delayed to March 2025. With so much riding on that game, Mirage DLC could be another way for the company to generate revenue in the meantime.

For now, this is still unconfirmed information, but if true, it would be a major shift from Ubisoft’s original plans. Assassin’s Creed Mirage is currently available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC, and mobile.
