The controversies centered around inaccuracies and misrepresentations in news summaries provided by the Apple Intelligence service.

Another erroneous alert claimed that darts sensation Luke Littler had clinched the world championship before the event had concluded.

Additionally, a false alert had suggested that tennis icon Rafael Nadal had disclosed he was gay.

These mistakes led to an outcry among journalists, who took to social media to voice their frustrations over the AI’s mishandling of key news headlines.

Responding to the backlash, Apple issued a statement detailing the temporary suspension of notification summaries in the News & Entertainment categories across its iOS 18.3, iPadOS 18.3, and macOS Sequoia 15.3.

According to an Apple spokesperson, the company is diligently working to refine the technology and plans to reintroduce enhanced features in upcoming software updates.
