Apple celebrates Year of the Snake in Japan with special AirTag
Apple is ringing in the Year of the Snake in Japan with a special New Year promotion that offers exclusive gifts and perks for a limited time. Between January 2 and January 5, customers in Japan can receive Apple gift cards worth up to ¥30,000 (around $190) when purchasing eligible Apple products, including iPhones, iPads, Macs, and more.
The value of the gift card depends on the product purchased. For instance, buyers of an iPhone 14, iPhone 15, or iPhone SE can receive a gift card of up to ¥11,000. Meanwhile, those opting for AirPods Pro 2 or AirPods Max can get up to ¥12,000, and a MacBook Air purchase could net the full ¥30,000 card.
Other qualifying items include select Beats headphones, Apple TV 4K, and accessories like the Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil. Full details are available on Apple Japan’s website.
As a bonus, the first 50,000 customers to purchase an iPhone 14, iPhone 15, or iPhone SE during the campaign will receive a limited-edition AirTag featuring a custom snake engraving to celebrate the Chinese zodiac. However, this special AirTag won’t be sold separately.
It’s important to note that not all Apple products are eligible for this promotion. High-end devices like the iPhone 16 and MacBook Pro, as well as the recently launched iPad mini 7, are excluded. Purchases must also be made through Apple’s retail stores or website, as the promotion doesn’t apply to orders placed via the Apple Store app.
This exclusive offer is part of Apple’s tradition of celebrating the New Year in Japan with zodiac-themed products, making it an exciting opportunity for tech lovers and collectors alike.
