Adobe’s 20GB Creative Cloud Photography Plan, a favorite among hobbyist and professional photo editors, is undergoing major changes starting January 15, 2025. This plan, which offers affordable access to Photoshop and Lightroom, will no longer be available to new customers after this date.

For existing subscribers, the plan will still be accessible, but at a higher cost. In the U.S., the monthly price will jump from $9.99 to $14.99—a significant 50% increase. Meanwhile, the 1TB Photography Plan, which includes Photoshop and Lightroom, stays steady at $19.99 per month. For those using the 1TB Lightroom-only plan, the price will rise from $9.99 to $11.99, reflecting a 20% hike.

Similar changes have been reported in Japan, where the monthly cost of the 20GB Photography Plan will increase from 1,180 yen to 1,780 yen for renewals after January 15, 2025. However, the annual lump-sum payment option in Japan, priced at 14,080 yen (around 1,173 yen per month), will remain unchanged, offering users a way to avoid the monthly price increase.

It’s important to note that after January 15, new customers won’t have access to the 20GB plan at all. Existing users can hold onto their subscriptions for now, but there’s no guarantee that Adobe won’t phase out the plan entirely in the future.
