A 2016 3DS Classic Is Coming to the Nintendo Switch According to Latest Rumor

A Nintendo insider, Nate the Hate, has confirmed that a 3DS game is making its way to the Nintendo Switch, following up on earlier rumors, including ones from the same source. The game in question is from 2016, a year full of major game releases like Uncharted 4, Overwatch, and Titanfall 2, though none of these came to the 3DS.
Not much major software came to the 3DS that year, but there were still some memorable releases, including Kirby: Planet Robobot from HAL Laboratory, which was one of the bigger 3DS titles of 2016 and is the rumored game in question!
The game, a platformer-action hybrid, was generally well-received, scoring an 81 on Metacritic. However, it didn’t sell as well as other games in the Kirby franchise, which is often the case for this series. Despite this, Kirby: Planet Robobot still holds a special place for its charm and creative gameplay.
Nate the Hate, who is known for leaking credible information in the past, says the port is still on track, despite the Nintendo Switch 2 being on the horizon. In fact, it may end up being one of the last 3DS games to make it to the Switch, possibly even one of the final releases for the current console.
While this information sounds promising, it’s worth noting that nothing is confirmed yet. Nintendo hasn’t commented on the rumor, as usual, so we’ll just have to wait for official word. But considering Nate’s track record, it’s safe to get excited about the possibility.
