‘Counter-Strike 2’ Breaks Another Player Record

Counter-Strike 2 is once again proving to be one of the most popular games in the world. The game just set another all-time high record for peak concurrent players on Steam. It feels like every week a new record is being made, and this time the numbers are even bigger. Just a few hours ago, Counter-Strike 2 reached an incredible 1.82 million peak players. This is a solid increase from the previous record of 1.74 million players.
Right now there are close to 1.5 million people actively playing Counter-Strike 2. The game that comes closest on Steam is PUBG, a free-to-play battle royale game, which has 659,000 players online. No other game is even close to Counter-Strike 2’s numbers.
Counter-Strike 2 is constantly breaking records. At this point, it seems like a monthly event. More people are playing the game than ever before, and it never leaves the number one spot on Steam. The only time it gets some competition is when a massive new game is released, like Palworld.
The game once again broke its all-time peak record 2 hours ago by registering 1,824,989 players.
Counter-Strike is more popular than ever, even without a big CS2 update recently. Some people complain about the game’s state, but the numbers show it’s still growing. CS is reaching new highs, even 13 years after CS: GO was released. Some think the high player count is due to more bots farming cases, but bots have always been around, and there’s no proof that there are more now. Case prices haven’t dropped, which would happen if bots were flooding the market.
