Apple has just refreshed its MacBook Air lineup, introducing an M4 chip and a new sky blue color, alongside a welcome reduction in price.

The updated models are set to hit the shelves on March 12th, with the 13-inch version starting at $999 and the 15-inch at $1,199. Orders can be placed immediately.

The latest MacBook Airs maintain their classic design but include enhancements such as the M4 processor, which features a 10-core CPU and an 8-core GPU in the base model.

Storage starts at 256GB, with options to upgrade to a 10-core GPU, 32GB of RAM, and 2TB of storage. These specs bring the new MacBook Airs in line with Apple’s recent updates to the Mac Mini, iMac, and MacBook Pro models.

Another notable upgrade is the 12-megapixel Center Stage webcam, previously exclusive to the MacBook Pros, which supports active tracking during video calls.

This addition, along with the ability to connect to two external displays even with the laptop’s lid open, marks a significant improvement in functionality.

Despite the incremental nature of these upgrades, the price reduction is particularly striking. It comes as a pleasant surprise, especially considering the broader market context of rising tariffs.
