Gemini Is Seriously Expanding Its Presence This Year

Google has confirmed that its Gemini chatbot will soon work with three Xiaomi apps: the clock, calendar, and notes apps. This follows a similar move announced with Samsung at the launch of the Galaxy S25 series. However, we still don’t know exactly when the Gemini features for Xiaomi apps will be available.

During the Xiaomi 15 series launch at MWC, Erik Kay, Google’s VP of Engineering, revealed this integration. The new features will likely allow users to set and edit alarms, control timers, and manage the stopwatch in the clock app.

For the calendar, we expect users to create and edit events and search for them by date range. The notes app extension may help with creating, summarizing, and retrieving notes by description or title.

Right now, there’s no official release date for the new Gemini extensions. We anticipate they’ll be rolled out to the new Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Ultra models soon, but it’s unclear whether older models will get the update. Once these extensions are available, we’ll get more details on the supported actions.
