A new Pokémon Legends: Z-A leak has made its way online, offering a possible first glimpse at the 2025 Nintendo Switch game. With the Pokémon Presents set for February 27, there’s a lot of anticipation about finally seeing the game in action.

Fans are also hoping for an official release date, but if the game is tied to the Nintendo Switch 2, it’s likely we won’t hear about it just yet, although this has not been confirmed yet (the game is currently slated for a Switch release only). There’s a chance that we might get some mention of the Switch 2 during the event, though details won’t be fully revealed until its own dedicated event a couple of months later.

The leaked content includes a screenshot that allegedly shows Professor Sycamore in the game. If authentic, although its authenticity is dubious, this would be the first real look at Pokémon Legends: Z-A. So far, we’ve only seen a teaser trailer that didn’t showcase any actual gameplay.

However, while there’s no clear indication the leak is fake, there are reasons to doubt it. Some fans point out that the 3D models in the screenshot seem recycled, which raises suspicions about its authenticity.

As always with leaks, it’s best to take this with a big grain of salt. The chances are high that it could be fake, but Pokémon fans are eager for anything about the upcoming sequel to Pokémon Legends: Arceus, so the leak is making the rounds.

So far, Game Freak, The Pokémon Company, and Nintendo haven’t commented on the leak, and it’s unlikely they will until they’re ready to share official information. If anything changes, we’ll be sure to update you.
