With the Daytona 500 just around the corner, Apple is expanding its sports offerings by adding NASCAR coverage to its Apple Sports app. Launched in February 2024, the app has been gradually adding different sports leagues, with real growth kicking off during the 2024 college football season.

This free app lets iPhone users follow teams, leagues, and events, offering real-time updates on scores, statistics, schedules, and breaking news. A handy feature is Live Activities, which shows live updates right on your iPhone’s Lock Screen, Dynamic Island, and even your Apple Watch.

The app’s simple and clean interface makes it easy to find the information you need. You can personalize it to follow only the teams and events you’re interested in. If you’re into NASCAR, you can now catch live race updates starting with the Daytona 500.

The latest version, Apple Sports 2.5, also brings updates for Spring Training for baseball and keeps expanding its coverage of sports like MLB, MLS, NBA, NFL, and NHL, along with many international events such as the Premier League, La Liga, Champions League, and more. You can download the app on your iPhone 16 or any other supported phone.
