In the bustling world of used car sales, Audi has emerged as the top earner for dealers in the last quarter of the previous year.

Carwow, an online marketplace, has analyzed its daily sales data from the final quarter of 2024, revealing that Audi models have outperformed others in terms of dealer profits.

Dealers saw a significant profit potential from selling used Audi cars, with an average gain of £3,000 per vehicle.

This margin placed Audi comfortably ahead of competitors Lexus and Mazda, who followed with profit margins of £2,848 and £2,823 respectively.

This analysis by Carwow was based on the difference between actual selling prices at auction and the cap ‘Retail’ valuations, excluding fees and preparation costs.

Luxury brands like Jaguar, Land Rover, and Mercedes-Benz also made the list, alongside more mainstream brands such as Nissan, showing a diverse range of profitable options for dealers.

Among individual models, a 2019 Porsche 911 topped the chart as the most profitable car, generating a staggering £4,992 in potential profit.

Notably, a 2022 Ford Ranger made the list as well, marking the first time a light commercial vehicle has been featured in Carwow’s rankings.

Sally Foote, Carwow’s chief commercial officer for Sell My Car, commented on the findings.
