If you’ve been missing the Resident Evil Outbreak games, there’s a new title that’s got you covered. Whisper Mountain Outbreak is an isometric co-op survival horror game from Toge Productions, and it’s coming in Q3 2025. The game has been in development since 2023, and a demo is available now.

Set in 1998, the story starts when a mining crew on Mount Bisik disturbs an ancient ruin, releasing something horrific. Soon, the town below is shrouded in a strange fog, and people are seeing monsters and hearing whispers. You and your team of agents are sent to figure out what’s going on but quickly find yourselves trapped in this nightmare.

Like classic survival horror games, you’ll need to fight off monsters using both melee and ranged weapons. Resources are limited, so you’ll need to manage them carefully—herbs can help restore health.

You’ll also need to work together to solve puzzles, unlock doors, and survive. Teamwork is crucial as you share resources, save fallen teammates, and communicate through an in-game chat wheel.

Throughout the game, you’ll uncover secrets about the fog-covered town by reading notes and talking to NPCs. You’ll have a safe house to regroup, but the horror never lets up as you prepare for your next move.

It looks like Whisper Mountain Outbreak could be a must-play for anyone who enjoyed Resident Evil Outbreak, and it’s just around the corner.
