Google Makes It Easier to Remove Personal Information from Search Results

How to Exclude Websites from Google Search

Google has made some updates to its ‘Results about you’ tool, making it easier to remove personal information from search results. The tool now has a redesigned hub that helps users manage removal requests more efficiently.

After signing up, users will receive alerts when Google detects personal details, like phone numbers or addresses, in search results. These details are then added to the hub for review.

The new setup also lets users request removals directly from the search page. By clicking the three dots next to a result containing personal information, they can easily see which content is eligible for removal.

From there, users can remove it with just a few clicks.

Additionally, if outdated personal information still appears after a removal request, users can now ask Google to update the search results.

The process is as simple as clicking the three dots again and requesting a refresh. Google will recrawl the page and update the results with the latest information.
